Elder Tanoai

Elder Gillis

For the past few years I’ve been taking portraits of the missionaries serving in our area.  As they rotate in and out, I schedule shoots to make sure that I can get as many as I possibly can.  I make sure that I post them on facebook so that their families back home can see them.  They get discs with everyone’s pictures on them so they can have a record of the missionaries they served with.

These guys remind me of the strippling warriors in the scriptures:

And they were all young men, and they were exceedingly valiant for courage, and also for strength and activity; but behold, this was not all—they were men who were true at all times in whatsoever thing they were entrusted.

Yea, they were men of truth and soberness, for they had been taught to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before him.

We have some of the most awesome young men come through here.  I feel this is one small thing I can do for the young men and the families that give so much of themselves to serve the Lord.
